Emily Simpson’s fiery personality has helped her garner popularity among fans of The Real Housewives of Orange County. Moreover, she doesn’t shy away from discussing her marital troubles and her weight issues.
The Bravo star, who doesn’t hide anything from the audience, is now calling out her co-stars. The attorney recently unfollowed Braunwyn Windham-Burke on social media platforms, accusing her of being “inauthentic.”
Simpson returned to the 15th season of RHOC, marking her third year on the show. Following the exit of Vicki Gunvalson and Tamra Judge, there was a drastic shift in the dynamics of the group. While Simpson and Windham-Burke weren’t good friends, they were cordial with each other.
Things got so personal that Simpson decided to hit the unfollow button on Windham-Burke’s social media accounts. “She’s not talking to any of us because we all unfollowed her,” Simpson told Entertainment Tonight. “Each one of us kind of unfollowed her for different reasons, and on our own terms,” she added.
The unfollowing came after the cast filmed the RHOC finale, and Simpson witnessed something she didn’t really like. Noting that it was the last time all six of them were allowed to be together, Simpson said she didn’t like the way Windham-Burker acted, and how everything went down.
She went on to reveal that she did not block Windham-Burker, but just unfollowed her, adding that there are a lot of things that need to be resolved with her. Simpson said she had the materials, and since she is an attorney she likes things and likes facts.
Simpson explained that she doesn’t like it when someone jumps on someone else out of emotions. She then said she has a very factual, analytical argument as to things that Windham-Burker has a thing that she finds completely inauthentic. “I’m ready and willing to address those,” she said.
Tamra Judge, who was cut from RHOC after 12 years, didn’t like Simpson. After she was axed from the reality TV series, the real estate agent made an appearance on David Yontef’s Behind the Velvet Rope podcast, where she opened up about how she felt about Simpson, who she believed didn’t belong on the show.
“I think Emily [is] dead weight on the cast,” Jude said. She then spoke about Gina Kirschenheiter, noting that she speaks her mind and will be honest. She said Kirschenheiter isn’t afraid o anybody and doesn’t play games.
Judge said Emily was always nice to their face, but say bad things in her confessionals. “A good housewife says it to your face, not just behind a camera,” Judge insisted. She also said that she didn’t think there was a lot of interesting things going on in Simpson’s life to bring her back to the show.
