Kim Kardashian will be spending Valentine’s Day with her kids, while having a divorce plan in place, according to a source.
Kim Kardashian’s high-profile attorney Laura Wasser has been working on the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star’s pending divorce from rapper Kanye West. While her divorce from her estranged husband is looming, the 40-year-old reality TV icon is looking ahead.
Kim is planning to the Valentine’s Day holiday with her kids and has little contact with West, a source told PEOPLE. “Kim is great,” the insider said, before adding that “she has a Valentine’s Day celebration planned with her kids and family. She likes to make it special for the kids. She doesn’t have any contact with Kanye.”
“It’s obvious that she is just focused on the future,” the source said. West, 43, and Kim share four children including daughters, North, 7, and Chicago, 3, and sons Saint, 5, and Psalm, who turns 2 in May. Earlier this month, an insider confirmed to PEOPLE that the pair, who tied the knot in 2014, have minimal communication as they head straight to an official split.

“Kim and Kanye continue to live separate lives,” the source said, adding that “they have no contact.” As far as officially ending the marriage is concerned, the source said Kim “has a divorce plan in place and will file when she is ready.”
“Her issues with Kanye are a big part of the final season of Keeping Up with the Kardashians,” the source added. The concluding season of the hit reality show premiers on Mar. 18. The insider noted that Kim will likely “file for divorce when the season has aired.”
In Jan., multiple sources told PEOPLE that Kim wants to end her marriage to West, and has been working with a high-profile divorce attorney Laura Wasser. “They are just not on the same page when it comes to their future as a family,” one insider said at the time. “And Kim is okay with it.”
“Kim knows what she wants to do with her life,” said the insider. “She wants to keep living in L.A., create the best life for the kids and focus on her work passions.”
