In a recently posted video, Jill Dugger admitted that she isn’t on very good terms with the Dugger family.
A video posted earlier this week shows Jill Duggar admitting that she isn’t on good terms with the Dugger family. The former reality star and her husband Derick Dillard opened up about their relationship with Jill’s family and revealed that they do not think leaving Counting On was a bad decision.
“There’s been some distancing there,” Jill, 29, confessed, adding that they weren’t on the best terms with some of her family members. She went on to reveal that they have had some disagreements, but are working towards restoration and healing.
Jill also said that she and her husband have to take some time and heal. Although difficult, Jill said they are working through it despite feeling uncomfortable sharing details of their feud. She said that they are doing what they feel is best for their family and working through it.
Without going into more details, Jill said they are praying and trusting God that the timeline is His, and how everything will unfold. She thanked their fans for their prayers but said she didn’t want to divulge more details.
Jill and Derick exited the TLC reality series back in 2017 after Derrick came under fire for his controversial tweets expressing an unfavorable opinion about transgender reality star Jazz Jennings. In a statement, TLC addressed those tweets saying they did not plan to work with him in the future.
Although the couple talked about their departure from the show, they remained tight-lipped about Derick’s controversy. Jill attributed their decision to leave the show to their family goals not aligning with what they found out. She was referring to their inability to control their own lives and doing what they wanted to because it was connected to the show.
Jill went on to explain that they were in a position where they had to decide whether they want to be on the show or pursue their own goals. “It was a good decision for us,” said of the difficult decision, noting that it was something they had to do for their family, ET reported.
As far as returning in front of the camera is concerned, Derick wouldn’t go back under the same circumstances that made them leave the show. “Meaning, just like a family, we have to be able to make decisions that allow us to navigate our lives and have the information and control so that we know whether or not we can even plan anything,” he said.
Jill chimed in saying they do not plan to join back at the moment. Aside from that, she said they do not regret leaving the show and that it was the best thing for their family.
