Andy Cohen is now speaking up after hearing that Nene Leakes is going to leave The Real Housewives of Atlanta. The American host is among all of those celebrities that are posting about the iconic housewife’s departure on their social media.
The RHOA personality had declared that she is leaving the television series after heated negotiations which made her realize there is no reason to stay in this show.
The father of the Housewives franchise, Andy Cohen is also known as the American television network, Bravo where he hosts the late-night show Watch What Happens Live. The RHOA personality has uploaded a video on her Youtube channel where she confirmed that she will not anymore be a part of the reality show. Soon after this video, Cohen had shared an appreciation post for her on Instagram.
Cohen shared that “Nene Leakes is an icon of the genre.“She is a gif and catchphrase machine. In 11 years of WWHL, Nene has been our most frequent guest, and she is always A BLAST.”
Cohen also mentioned about the nickname that Leakes gave him “Buttercup” and still keeps on calling him by that name. The American host goes on saying, “Through her whole run, she has always had a serious concern and drive to maintain the success and well-being of RHOA.” Cohen is going to miss Leakes on the set and he also hopes that there will be some time they will work together again.
Nene Leakes had been silent on her further journey with RHOA for a long time. Even after getting thousands of messages by her fans, that is she going to be there for season 13, but the tastiest peach never replied to this question. She had promised her fans that soon herself will tell the news to everyone, so stay tuned.
Finally on September 18, Friday, Leakes posted a video where it was confirmed that she would not be coming back to the RHOA that made her a household name.
In her YouTube video, Nene said, “I have made the very hard and difficult decision to not be a part of Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 13,” . The decision she took was the very hardest thing to do for her, the star added.
Leakes added that no one could ever tell her that she is going to be a part of this little show and after 13 years it will still be going strong. She feels so happy and proud to be a part of a genre that has opened up doors for black ensemble reality shows to come forward and be a part of the reality tv that now everyone loves so much.
On Cohen’s post, many celebrities had expressed their views on Leakes leaving the show, among them was Sonja Morgan from The Real Housewives of New York City who commented that she loves her friend Nene Leakes and she will be soon meeting her off-screen, “Love you lady” added Morgan.
The actress from the Potomac franchise, Gizelle Bryant also said, it is so sad to hear about Leakes leaving the show.
