The Rajasthan Royals were left frustrated after a controversial moment during their 37-run defeat to KKR (Kolkata Knight Riders) in the IPL (Indian Premier League).
Fast bowlers Shivam Mavi and Kamlesh Nagarkoti got rid of Royal’s top order, paving the way for a comfortable win. Rajasthan, however, blamed the spider cam for unfairly impacting their run chase in the concluding stages of the match. With just 13 balls left, and Rajasthan still needing 69 runs, Jaydev Unadkat hit a shot that he and the commentators thought was going for six.
Much to the chagrin of Unadkat, Kamlesh Nagarkoti caught him out in the deep, sparking discussions with the on-field umpires. Rajasthan claimed the ball hit a cable high up in the air that spider cam was suspended from, which should ideally be declared a dead ball.
When reviewed by the third umpire, the replays left the matter open, meaning, it did not help them reach a conclusion and Unadkat was given out. The controversial moment triggered heated debate between viewers on social media, with some urging the IPL to get rid of the spider cam altogether.

@IPL what a ridiculous umpiring by third umpire.. There is no use of technology if you can’t use it.. Bowl was simply touched the spider cam but third umpire can’t see it.. Now umpire fixing the matches? #RRvsKKR
