Earlier this month, Kylie Jenner’s make-up artist Samuel Rauda got into a car accident and had to go under brain surgery, and was left with hefty medical bills.
Since the Keeping Up With The Kardashian star had taken over her Instagram to ask her fans to give prayers and shared the GoFundMe to help Samuel that was set up by the make-up artist’s family. However, her fans think that she is a billionaire why can’t she donate.
The story that Kylie had posted on her Instagram had a picture of her makeup artist Samuel and she wrote, “may God watch over you and protect you @makeupbysamuel everyone take a moment to say a prayer for sam who got into an accident this past weekend. and swipe up to visit his families go fund me.”
Later, a Twitter user named @nataleebfitness wrote “wait so kylie Jenner’s make up artist got into a car accident and needed $60k for emergency brain surgery and she asked her fans to donate???? and then only donated $5,000 when she’s a literal billionaire? the wrong people have money.”
However, someone shared this tweet on Reddit and many Reddit users reacted to it saying, “This is pretty infuriating. I understand it’s Kylie’s money and she can choose how to spend it, but I find it quite vile that she expects her fans (many of which are struggling financially due to the pandemic) to raise money for HER friend, when it literally would be chump change for her to cover his medical expenses. 5K from her is like giving a dollar. She could do one ad on Insta and cover the costs easily. She flaunts her incredible wealth daily but would rather spend it on a luxury purse or car, instead of saving the life of a friend??? Selfish beyond belief!”
One of the Reddit users also mentioned that Kylie had done something like this in the past also when she had only donated $10,000 to a GoFundMe for her then-best friend Jordyn Woods’ father.
