Kanye West reportedly cries on stage at his new album launch after playing a song related to his divorce from Keeping Up With The Kardashian star, Kim Kardashian.
The 44-years-old rapper had hosted a listening event for his new album ‘Donda’ in a Las Vegas church. West had played songs from his album and one of them is called, “Welcome to my Life” and it includes lyrics about his tough last two years, which included his split from the SKIMS owner Kim Kardashian, a meltdown on Twitter, and his failed bid to become US President.
In the song, he compares his and Kim’s Calabasas house to jail. He raps, “Tell the assassins I escaped from Calabasas.”
A source from the event told The Sun, “It’s a very deep, sad song about Kanye, with him reflecting on his marriage with Kim.”
“He talks about the kids and mentions her taking everything. After he played this song he paused for like, two minutes, and cried. It was really somber,” the source added.
Donda is the tenth album of Kanye and its named after his late mother. The album is expected to be released on Friday.
